Maddy's First Day of Day Care
It took me a few weeks to get ready for Maddy to start daycare. Fill out the forms, get the supplies, label everything, make bottles, pack it all, make sure you get it there . . .
Here she is in her outfit waiting to go. Max is all geared up for the transition in his big brother t-shirt!
The room is nicely arranged.
The teacher was kind of spacey, but it was her first day also. If Ms. Abby (tried and true) had not been there I would not have left her. This was Monday, by Wednesday they had a new teacher. She didn't make it very long.
Ms. Nicole, Infant/Toddler Coordinator, but really it should be taskmaster She was there to make sure that the opening of the room was a big success and to get us all straight.
Again, the room was nicely decorated, they have some really fancy swings.
Two other children started the day she did. Carson, who is three times Maddy's size.
And Olivia, who has the cutest little naturally spiked hair.
Daddy did not want to leave her there. I had to drag him out of the room.
So far everything has gone really well. The staff is very nice and they take lots of special care with the children. Maddy's first two weeks were spent sleeping in her assigned crib. She is the last to be picked up everyday - poor baby!
